Dental implantology is a modern method of restoring and replacing missing teeth. Implants are artificial roots implanted into the jawbone that serve as the basis for the placement of crowns, bridges or dentures. They are the preferred choice because of their durability, aesthetics and functionality, which is very close to that of natural teeth.
Dental implants are usually made of biocompatible materials that integrate well with human bone and do not cause rejection or allergic reactions. The main material used for dental implants is biotite. It is preferred due to its excellent biocompatibility, strength and corrosion resistance. It has the ability to integrate into the bone (osseointegration), making it ideal for this purpose.
The procedure is performed by a specialist in dental implantology or by an oral surgeon with local anesthesia. The process of implant integration into the bone can take several months. After successful osseointegration of the implant, an abutment (abutment) is placed on which the crown is secured.
